
Jeff Peterson became the conductor of the Prime Time Band in January, 2005. Previous to that, since August 2002, he was the conductor for the Prime Time Silver Band.
He was born in Benson, Minnesota and spent his childhood years in St. Paul, Minn, and his teenage years in St. Cloud. Jeff went to college at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, majoring in music education. He has taught in the public schools in Dawson, St. Cloud, and Sartell, Minnesota . He adminstrated and taught in an early childhood music program at MacPhail Center for the Arts in Minneapolis for a couple of years before moving to Santa Barbara in 1988. Jeff taught music in Buellton from 1990 - 1999.
He currently is the music teacher at Goleta Valley Junior High as well as directing the Prime Time Band. When he has time, he enjoys playing his bass in jazz and classical groups (as pictured above).
His wife, Angela is a free-lance technical writer and indexer. He also has a daughter, Meghan. Jeff's hobbies are tennis, and traveling. In 2007 Jeff attended the tennis matches at Wimbledon.
