Your Board of Directors of the Prime Time Band met on April 12, 2017. The minutes of the January meeting were approved. Any band member may request them by contacting John Ritchie at jfritchie@cox.net or 682-6460. The officers and board members for 2017 are as follows:

POPS Band Success at Samarkand
Our February 10 Pops Concert at Samarkand was a great success. As Karen wrote, “Great job last night at our 22nd consecutive concert at Samarkand! Our new repertoire was well received and we got through it all with only a few minor glitches. What a great audience to play for! Everyone was very appreciative of our performance and I received many wonderful comments after the performance including one from a brand new resident who just moved in to Samarkand that day! Thanks again for being part of the Pops Band. You truly do bring joy to people's day!

We have a full, fun Pops calendar planned for 2017. See the calendar below for a list of the firm concerts. Karen and Bill have included a number of new pieces including an arrangement of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah! Don’t miss the fun! Be sure to sign up!
POPS Band Signup Summary from Bill Callahan:
  1. At each rehearsal the sign up folders and music folders with current music will be on the piano. Feel free to sign up and to pick up or return music. If you play multiple concerts, just keep music folder at home until the last concert.
  2. When we get within a few weeks of the concert, the sign up folders will be passed around as always.
  3. You can also sign up using the link for Google Drive that will be sent out in an email to all band members before each concert.

The one for Valle Verde has already been sent and a number of you have responded to it! Thank you.
Stow House Concert Date Set
The summer Stow House Concert will be Sunday, August 27, at 2 pm.
Finances
April marks the beginning of our next dues cycle, so get your dues ($100) in to Gretchen.
URGENT - New Recording Engineer Still Needed
As we mentioned in the last Quarternote, we have an urgent need for someone to serve as our Recording Engineer (recording our dress rehearsals and concerts). Do you have a spouse, relative or friend that would like to do this? If so, please contact John Ritchie.
New Member Bios
We are continuing the new Quarternote feature of introducing our new members to you. This is the idea of Board Member and Publicity Chair Roger Ferris! Our two featured new members this quarter are Lorne Fienberg and Susan Miller.
