About Us
Our
Mission
Entry points to music making for adults (age 40+), including those with no musical experience and those who have been inactive for a long time.
Many PTB members who hadn’t played an instrument since high school—or ever—have rediscovered the joy of making music with an ensemble.
Free concerts for the greater Santa Barbara community, performing large public concerts, appearing in local parades and outdoor events and bringing musical joy to civic groups and retirement communities throughout the county.
The Prime Time Band is a vibrant group of more than 60 amateur musicians with a mission to provide:
Something for Everyone
Our band repertoire has something for everyone with a wide variety of pop, classics, show tunes, marches and seasonal music that keeps audiences smiling.
Weekly rehearsals are fun and stimulating for members, both musically and socially.
Members gather Tuesday evenings at La Colina Junior High School from 6:45 to 9:00 pm.
Musicians of every skill level come together to create rewarding musical experiences for both players and audiences.
Our Director
Dynamic director Dr. Paul Mori brings enthusiasm, charisma and energy to the podium. A Santa Barbara native gifted in conducting, Paul is passionate about music and its role in brightening lives in the local community.
Our History
Founded in 1995 as a non-profit 501(c)3, the band has performed more than 175 free concerts and been declared by the City to be a “Santa Barbara Treasure”.
PTB is part of New Horizons International Music Association, dedicated to enriching communities through the joy of music-making.
